Words cannot say enough, they did an AWESOME job. Totally made a huge difference with the venue and atmosphere!! Very responsive to all our needs/wants. When we showed up at the reception, there were lights everywhere that looked awesome, but the best part....you couldn't see ANY cords!!!! Perfect clean look!!!I would recommend them 100x over!! If you are looking for lighting and you don't go with Blue Steel, you are well... you know.....They are TOTALLY worth every penny!!

Blue Steel went BEYOND "ABOVE & BEYOND" for our wedding!!! If there is ONE facet you dont want to OMIT its the lighting!! It completely transforms the entire FEEL and ambiance and BEAUTY of your wedding!!! You will NOT find a more professional or truly caring lighting crew!!!! THEY "MADE" my wedding!!!! Blue Steel Lighting Design is a must to have at any venue you chose to be married. My daughter got married on August 26, 2011 at the Chrysler Museum of Art, and BSLD turned a beautiful room into the most elegant, breathtaking room that you can imagine. After our original wedding in North Carolina was cancelled by Hurricane Irene, Blue Steel Lighting was willing and ready to put together a lighting package for us at the Westin Richmond on incredibly short notice (24 hours!). AMAZING! I can't say enough about these guys and their services! I really did not think that lighting would change my venue as much as it did but my photographer and wedding planner encouraged us to pursue this and highly recommended Blue Steel. Blue Steel Lighting is THE premier lighting design company! They are very professional and subject matter experts in lighting. Every detail is considered and no request is too small. For my daughter's wedding reception, Blue Steel took a beautiful ballroom with great architectural features and made it POP! The uplighting on the walls accented the features of the room, the spot lights on the table floral arrangements brought out their elegance and beauty, the light color changes coordinated with the music and enhanced the ambience. I can't say enought wonderful things about this company. They did it all and the end product was absolutely AWESOME. Blue Steel provided amazing lighting during our wedding reception at The Westin on May 28, 2011. The ballroom was transformed into a sexy, elegant and classy atmosphere, and showed our personalities throughout the night. From the moment the wedding party was introduced, to the first dance, dinner, etc., each aspect of the wedding was perfectly featured. The logo displayed on the dance floor and the different shades of pink on the walls matched our theme. The blue lighting that was used during the mother/son dance was touching. The pinspots on the guests’ tables made a difference and everyone noticed. The lighting allowed our centerpieces, cake table and sweetheart table glow. My mom will not stop talking about the lights, as she has never seen a reception like ours. We, along with all our guests, loved the lighting. THANK YOU!

Lighting definitely makes all the difference! We had so many compliments on our reception because of the beautiful lighting that accented our color throughout the ballroom. The spotlight monogram was beautiful as well!

Blue Steel did a beautiful job on the lighting for our wedding. The photos of work they had done was one of things that sold us on our venue - The Chrysler Museum of Art. Their flexibility, professionalism, and responsiveness was 100%. I would definately recommend them!

I would HIGHLY recommend BLUE STEEL lighting design!!! They created a beautiful , intimate LOUNGE area for my wedding reception!! They also provided Lighting for the event and it was FANTASTIC!!! Very NICE people to work with!!!

Speciality Lighting was not part of our initial budget. We didn't think it was important and were not sure what the lighting would add. We met with Rachel who was so kind and showed us everything Blue Steel had to offer. We loved everything and decided to have the speciality lighting. I'm so happy we did too because at our venue the only option for lighting is all flourscent lights on or off. Not the feel we were going for. There were lights on each table arrangement and on the cake too. The lights added such a romantic feel to the reception and showcased each flower arrangement and the beautiful cake. We are so happy to have Blue Steel as part of our day. Thank y'all so much for making everything perfect!

Let me tell you; lighting makes a world of difference. I recommend at least talking with the staff at Blue Steel to see what they can offer; you'll be amazed at what they can do and glad you did afterwards. The staff is beyond nice and very professional.Blue Steel took our venue, Chrysler Museum of Art, to two different ends of the "emotional spectrum". Lighting for our ceremony was warm and inviting; then to a fun, party mood for our reception. Lighting really did help to create the atmosphere and mood my wife wanted for her big day. I'm not one to offer accolades if it's not warranted...for our night, Blue Steel did magnificently!

Thank you for the wonderful job you all did on Tara and Jimmy's wedding! I had no idea what a difference professional lighting could make but when I walked into the Pocahotas Room at the Cavalier it became immediately apparent that we made the right decision in hiring you. The uplighting really helped to set the mood throughout the entire evening, from "it's time to eat and chat" to "it's time to party!". The effect became even more apparent when we got the wedding photos back. Wow! The colors were so beautiful. I wasn't anticipating the part you would play in helping my other vendors shine, either, but everything became better with your lighting! Palette of Petals did such beautiful arrangements, but with the pin spots you could really see every detail from the color shading to the sparkling jewels tucked into the flowers. The wedding cake became a real focal point in the room thanks to the way you highlighted it. Without your help, these elements of the wedding would have had much less impact. Thank you, also, for your professionalism. You were all so easy to work with and willing to explain each step of the process. You really helped to make the wedding be exactly what we were looking for!

From the time we walked in to the day of our wedding the staff especially Rachel was with us every step of the way. I very rarely these days see customer service at 100%. Well the blue steel lighting gives 120%. Rachel was very caring and was with us with all our lighting needs. My fiance and I were a little worried about spending a lot just for some lights. But when we met with rachel and saw what blue steel had to offer us we were so impressed that instead of getting the lighting package that was just a few lights. We went for the whole nine yards. Let me just tell you that when the wedding day arrived I was highly impressed. The place looked amazing and the lighting guys that day were right on. They matched the colors perfectly to the wedding theme without even having to tell them. I cant begin to thank Rachel and the staff of Blue Steel lighting for making our day just that much more amazing and wonderful. I would say if you are wondering if you need lighting for your wedding and not sure if it's right for your day go talk with rachel from blue steel and see just how amazing they can make your venue look with the lights. Blue Steel was amazing to work with not to mention they really set the tone of our wedding. The uplighting made all the difference in the world. I wanted a soft romantic room and that is what they gave me. I would truly recommend putting Blue Steel in your wedding budget! I am still getting raves about how the lighting made such a differnece.
