I wish I could give Malissa 10 stars - she was absolutely amazing. Both my husband and I have said many times that we don't think we could have got it all done without her. She guided us when we were unsure of what next steps to take, she put us in touch with amazing vendors when we needed them, helped us problem solve, helped to keep our plans moving, and most importantly of all - she kept me from having to worry about anything on the day of our wedding - I got to get married and have an amazing time doing it. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

I was just married on the 24th of September, 2011. I interviewed multiple wedding planners in the Virginia Beach/Norfolk area. I was fortunate enough to have been referred to CMT Event Planning and Malissa Murphy, the owner. First impressions are great and very important. Malissa was extremely professional from the first meeting and never faltered. Her professionalism, thoroughness, attention to detail, promptness, and flexibility were exceptional and always greatly appreciated. I always felt like I was the only bride as their client, no matter how many weddings they were planning. Exceptional customer service!! We had 360 people in attendance for our wedding. I knew that I needed to hire someone with experience and who would be capable of handling a large wedding party and a large guest list. CMT Event Planning handled the whole wedding, vendors and the wedding site with confidence and direction. All of the details and vendors were coordinated seamlessly and the wedding executed without flaws. This could not have been done without CMT Event Planning. They pulled everything together, made it happen, and in the most professional way! CMT Event Planning is the BEST in the business!!

Hiring Malissa at CMT was the best decision I have ever made!!! I have no family near me and no help planning my special day until I met Malissa. All of the vendors that Malissa recommended were the highest quality. Through her, we found awesome cake designers, and a wonderful florist. Malissa took inputs from me and my husband and coordinated everything into a beautiful event. Our day ran smoothly and was very beautiful; we received so many compliments from our guests. We did nearly all of our planning via e-mail which worked well for me. She always responded promptly and I tried not to bombard her with too many questions in every e-mail. As a couple, we brought to her a general idea for a unique wedding that reflected our tastes and desire for simple elegance. A few times I questioned the cost of some items, but they turned out to be worth the price paid for the quality of the product. On our wedding day, she worked very hard coordinating vendors, arranging the ceremony space and reception site, and reminding us of the details we still needed to cover. We are so glad we had our wedding coordination in her good hands.

Malissa is wonderful! We used her the day of the wedding. We didn't have to worry about anything...she saw that everything was taken care of.

I have used Malissa at CMT Event Planning for both of my daughter's weddings. I can not say enough wonderful things about her. She was able to guide us through choices of vendors, fun details and more. Best of all, she saved us money with her knowledge and experience. Malissa makes each bride feel as if they are the only one she is working with. She responds to emails and phone calls promptly and she is also very accessible to mom as well. Some people will think that having a wedding coordinator is an expense that they do not want to pay. Malissa was worth every penny I paid her plus more. She went above and beyond for us and I will always be grateful that she made both of my girl's weddings exactly what they wanted. I wish I could give her ten stars!

Malissa was by far the best investment for our wedding. She helped us with so many topics we knew nothing about and was a big time saver. Whatever your question, she's got an answer or a solution to any problem that could come up. I would and already have recommended her to others. Not only was she helpful but really became a part of our party and our family..we not only got a right hand assistant but a new friend. Don't even think about planning on your own if you value your time or want to keep your stress level low :)

CMT event planning made a really intricate important day flow with ease and style! She recommended all the best most reliable vendors and really took the guess work out of the entire process. Especially when planning a wedding while your fiancee is out to sea, she helped organize it all and make the large tasks seem small. You can always get ahold of her and she responded to email constantly. Any odd question you have she has an answer for it. The day of she made the entire day run like clockwork as well as setting it all up and taking it down. Overall, she was worth her weight in gold!

We wanted to say thank you again for doing such an amazing job with the wedding! Everything turned out perfect and all our guests have told us they had such a great time! I just wanted to say thank you for being so patient and supportive throughout the whole process. We were very anxious about planning a wedding, but you made the experience so stress-free and fun! All of the vendors you recommended: caterer, DJ, cake designer and hair/makeup etc. were so professional and the best of the best. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Malissa is phenominal in all aspects of wedding planning! I live in Richmond and got married in Norfolk and she made it so easy for me to plan from out of town. I would email CMT and they would handle everything. I could not have been happier with our wedding and the entire planning process. I couldn't have done it without CMT and highly highly recommend them for any brides. Malissa and her team are the reason our wedding turned out simply perfect. Our guests are proof! Thank you, CMT!

CMT Events was great to work! We had a backyard wedding that would not have been possible without the help of Malissa and her team. Throughout the planning process, they were responsive and helpful and always provided solutions to any questions/concerns we had. On the day of the wedding, they made sure everything ran smoothly. They took care of everything so that my mom and I were able to actually relax and enjoy the day without feeling overwhelmed once! We have absolutely no complaints. Malissa helped me have the wedding I had always dreamed about. I can't say enough how grateful my husband, family, and I were to have her be a part of our wedding. There is not enough space in this box to tell all you brides out there how wonderful and amazing Malissa Murphy truly is. Before you do anything else planning your big day, CALL MALISSA!!! Our decision to hire her at the beginning of our planning was by far the best one we made. We debated between just the day-of versus the full service, and we took the plunge for full service and I am OH SO glad we did!!!!!! Totally totally worth it. She arranged all of our appointments for us, was the main point of contact for all of our vendors (who all know and love her immensely), and organized everything. She set up all of our stuff for the reception (guest book, favors, etc.) and handled all of the little details that can really throw brides over the edge! She was my brain when I (and my mom) didn't have a brain! Because of her, I was able to fully, and I mean fully, enjoy every single bit of my wedding day without having a second's worry about anything going wrong. And that goes for my mom, too. The closer we got to the wedding date, the more we said to each other "THANK GOD FOR MALISSA!!!" Everyone kept asking me the week before the wedding, "are you getting nervous?" and i could genuinely say "nope!" i was so calm and relieved because I knew Malissa was in charge. If stuff went wrong, I certainly didn't know about it because she and her assistant took care of everything with a smile on their faces. That peace of mind is worth every single penny. I was constantly amazed at how organized she was. Always on top of everything with contracts and invoices, and I really felt like she was our agent and expert in the whole process - we always felt like she had our backs on any issue that might come up. She totally stayed with in our budget when suggesting vendors, and I also loved how she didn't totally hijack creating or designing our wedding - she let me have the creative freedom to plan the event, which i really wanted, but she was always there if i needed an opinion or advice. On top of all this, Malissa is just a really sweet, fun, and caring person, and is so great to be around. I know we'll be keeping in touch with her after the wedding and I really miss emailing with her almost on a daily basis now that the wedding is over!! :-) So, bottom line, call CMT Event Planning NOW. You won't be disappointed.
