I bought my dress here in March 2010 while wedding planning in Nags Head for a week. Tried calling ahead to set up an appt and got no answer. Once in the store, the employees were pretty helpful and when Pam arrived, she looked at everything I had tried on and liked so far, dug out a box that just arrived with a brand new dress and showed it to my mom. Together they convinced me that I had the energy for one more dress and sure enough it was the beautiful dress I ended up wearing. Excellent eye. Then they knocked a bunch off the price since I couldn't have it altered there and helped us package it to mail up to Maine so I could have it altered where I live. Pam even offered to steam it for me on the way back to Nags Head before the wedding!! I was really impressed with their service. Tried calling multiple times in the weeks before my wedding to see if I could mail my dress there, have them steam in and pick it up on the way down. No answer, no response to voicemail. Stopped in Monday morning to drop it off and they said they'd have it done by Wed afternoon. I showed up with a friend Wed AT CLOSING and the seamstress invited us in to wait just 15 minutes so she could "finish" my dress because she forgot about it and it got covered up amidst others. An hour and a half later, we left with my poorly steamed dress and felt like we completely wasted valuable pre-wedding time. Ended up paying someone to do a much better job the next day. So if you're looking for a dress, it's worth going there but be weary of their promises and be aggressive in getting what you need.

I enjoyed the laid back atmosphere at the shop, shop keeper was very nice and helpful. Not a fussy, fancy place but lots of selection, carried a wide variety of brands, colors, etc. Do not expect champagne and strawberries though! Prices were very reasonable as well.

I have to say that working with Louisa's Bridal was horrible. They messed up the order for the groom and men involved. In talking with them they admitted to me the original order was lost and someone from their staff tried to redo it from memory instead of contacting us. Then two weeks before the wedding they called to see if the order was right and it wasn't. After placing the order again 3 out of 5 was still incorrect. We didn't get everything right until 1 day prior. No one should have that type of stress when planning a wedding.

Pam and Ms Kathy at Louisa's were so fantastic. They were a tremendous help in finding the right dress and very easy to work with me coming in to town for my fittings. It was so nice to have my dress near where i was getting married without having to lug it from state to state with me to get married. Every step from the initial dress trials, to the fittings and sending the dress off to be preserved were fantastic!http://www.louisasbridal.com/Home_Page.html
