We chose Sugar Plum because of their service to the disabled. Everything was wonderful and the cake was delicious! They also give you a free cake at your one year anniversary! I can't wait!

I took a picture of how I wanted our wedding to be and it was perfect. The taste was great, decorations were wonderful. I got so many compliments on our cake. We had our wedding at the Founders Inn on May 7, 2011 and it was perfect. I would recommend them again.

I was very excited when I went in to my appointment at the sugar plum bakery and was pretty sure everything was going to work out perfect. The day of the wedding the cake lady called me and told me due to no one being at the venue they were going to have to deliver the cake an hour later which there were about 10 cars in the parking lot and lots of people there setting up the venue for the reception so this was obviously a lie. The cake did not look the same as the one I did pick out but it was pretty so that was good I just do not feel it was worth the money I paid for it.

We were so excited to go here for our cake tasting and left without booking. We spent 15 minutes alone in a room looking at books of very outdated wedding cakes. Then another 25 minutes sitting in the room alone with 3 basic cake samples and 2 fillings. At no point did their 'coordinator' ask us our names, introduce herself, ask us what we had in mind, etc...We ended up booking somewhere else where we found an attentive person to host our cake tasting and where we were able to try a much broader assortment of flavors which suited what we had in mind for our wedding.

Great as always. I have always been a fan of Sugar Plum but I didn't think we'd be able to afford it for such a big event. Surprisingly it was cheaper than several other bakeries and after we were able to get a hold of the wedding cake person it was smooth sailing. I also love that it's a non-profit that employs individuals with special needs. We did a cupcake tower with their famous Mozart cake on top and couldn't have been happier. As an out of town bride I was able to do most of our planning through e-mail and never stepped foot into the store until the day before the wedding.

Sugar Plum Bakery was wonderful. Our cake was delicious and they are going to make us a fresh top layer cake for us to enjoy on our 1 year anniversary. I would highly recommend them.

I ordered our wedding cake a month in advance and paid for it in full. This bakery is one of the most expensive. Because it is a nonprofit organization and the bakery we have been going to for years we wanted them to make our wedding cake. We requested to pick up our $400.00 wedding cake two days before our wedding. We were told the cake would be ready at 9am but that we could pick up cake any time during the business hours. My fiance, now my husband, went to pick up the cake at 4 pm. He was told the cake person called in sick and they were behind on orders but that they were putting the finishing touches on our cake. One hour later they came out with our cake. The cake was supposed to be white, it was ivory, lopsided like a leaning tower, not smooth, layers were not centered, design was not uniform and looked sloppy, frosting looked like it was put on a warm cake and melted, there were crumbs in frosting and fingerprints. The cake platter we rented for $12 was nothing more than a piece of cardboard with fancy foil on it. Then they tried to tell him that we still owed on the cake which I had already paid. They knew that the cake had to travel 2 hours but still placed cake on a tray with no support or protection. The next day we got up at 6am traveled the 2 hours back with the cake. We were refunded our money immediately. The manager told us that our ticket was not pulled accidentally. The cake person decided to put our cake together in 1 hour and try to pass it off. Look I realize that mistakes happen. If the cake person had come out and explained what happened and guaranteed to get the cake to us on our wedding day we would have been annoyed but understanding. Instead my wedding cake that I paid a lot of money for was done in an hour and done poorly. I was lucky and found someone else to make my wedding cake. I highly encourage anyone considering this bakery for a wedding cake to look somewhere else.

I liked what Sugar Plum Bakery stands for, so we chose them. Their baker is amazing. Our cake was almond flavored with raspberry filling. It was delicious and looked beautiful. The cost per piece of cake was about $2.50.

A terrific cake. Once we ordered the cake we did not have to worry about a thing. The best part of it is knowing that the money we spent has gone to help a wonderful cause. The cake was delicious, looked beautiful and was exactly what we wanted. A huge bonus was the second cake they gave us to help us celebrate our first anniversary.

I tasted a lot of cakes before deciding to go with Sugar Plum. This bakery has wonderful cakes and vast variety of flavors and designs. You can't beat the quality of cakes, but they are very pricey. Unfortunately, when you see and taste the cakes, you can't help but justify the prices. It's rare to find cakes that taste as good as they look!

For small weddings like mine, Sugar Plum Bakery is able to create a 2 tier (maximum) cake on site with only 24 hours notice. For larger weddings the sky seems to be the limit although they need at least 1 month's notice. They have an extensive albeit specific list of cake & icing flavors (although they weren't able to due an almond pound cake (or any flavor pound cake) for me). In the end my 2 tier cake was perfect and simple and delicious!

Don't expect moony-eyed happiness for your wedding here. They have one wedding cake coordinator, and she was friendly but businesslike. It wasn't a "hey, this is the first time you're getting married, let's sit down and really talk about what this is going to be like for you." It was just the two of us, in a room, looking at books. Then she came in and said, well, which do you like? She didn't let us taste the cake flavor we ultimately chose, so that was a gamble. We did it because it's a good charity, and people ended up LOVING the cake, but the bedside manner was not the best.

The Cake turned our beautiful...We got a 3 layer box shaped cake and also a sheet cake to have already cut in the back and resdy to be served while my husband and I were cutting our main cake. For the price the cake was awesome...we shopped around and everywhere else wanted $900 or more. When we went to Sugar Plum we ended up spending almost $400. The cake tasted great and it just looked beautiful. I highly recommend Sugar Plum if you areo n a fixed budget but still want an elegant looking cake.
