Two Rivers Country Club at Governor's Land

Two Rivers Country Club is THE PLACE to have your wedding!!! I happened to find this place by pure luck. I was planning a destination wedding all the way from San Diego and needed a venue that would be able to accomodate not having the bride there for most of the planning. I sent a local friend to check it out and she said "Its beautiful" so I knew this was it! Right from the start Jennifer made sure everything I wanted I was able to get. She was very flexible, and helped me out so much. Whenever I sent an email or left a message she got back with me. On the big day all of my guest were saying how amazign the location was, and how pretty everything turned out. The staff were awesome. They helped keep the wedding on schedule, and if I needed anything there was someone there. We served three dishes I would HIGHLY reccommend Chicken Firenze, Chicked Chesapeake, and Roasted Vegetable Ravioli. I couldn't have had a better wedding day, and I owe it all to the staff of Two Rivers :-)

Two Rivers Country Club was great! The location on the water is fantastic! The food was excellent. We had Caesar Salad, and then buffet of salmon, chicken, and beef tenderloin. Plus, some pasta with creamy tomato sauce and a mashed potato bar. For appetizers, we had the fruit and cheese display, sliders, mini pizzas, and quiches. Bill and Jennifer ran a perfect reception - everything was according to the time-line we created. We have received lots of positive feedback and compliments on the venue. It was a perfect and amazing day!

We had the absolute best experience with Two Rivers and Jennifer Walton, who is responsible for the weddings at Two Rivers. The food was excellent; we received many compliments on the New York Strip and appetizer that included an egg roll, crab cake, and crab bisque. The venue space is beautiful, with views of the water and 18th hole of the Two Rivers golf course and outside areas for guests to sit. The servers at the event were very attentive to all of our needs and very polite. I couldn't say more to recommend Two Rivers - it was an excellent choice for our wedding reception.

Jennifer and her staff were excellent on the day of my wedding. I could not have asked for anything more. If I had to plan my wedding all over again, there are some changes I would make but I would not have my wedding anywhere else other than Two Rivers Country Club. The place is beautiful, the food was great, and the staff were very accomdating.

Two Rivers Country Club is an elegant venue with exceptional food, but our experience wouldn't have been as perfect without the guidance of Jennifer Walton, the Director of Special Events for TRCC. When we initially met with Ms. Walton, she provided a thorough explanation of all the services available, answered all of our questions, and generally made us feel welcome and confident. She could not have been more helpful or accommodating, and she managed every detail with efficiency and grace. Because of her "behind the scenes" expert management, our occasion was flawless, and we feel certain that nowhere else could have surpassed the services of TRCC.

Two Rivers is by far the classiest and most beautiful location to get married in Hampton Roads. The view of the James River is breathtaking. My husband and I had the most spectacular reception, complete with great food and drinks. Jennifer is extremely helpful and responsive. My only complaint is that they threw out our specially made table cards, so definitely make sure you tell them what you want to keep!! Great venue, amazing location.

The club has the most amazing view of the James River. The sunset pictures you get along the water are perfect. The food is excellent, the staff is friendly and helpful. The layout of the room is beautiful and perfect for up to a 200 person wedding. Highly recommend this location.

Had to play phone tag a bit, but overall, the site was lovely, the food was raved about, and I can't imagine a more perfect place to celebrate.
