Williamsburg Hospitality House

The wait staff at our reception were amazing, friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. That said, we did have to pay to hand out welcome bags to our guests that were incorrectly handed out (my rehearsal dinner gifts were given out instead!), we did feel as though we had to calm down our flustered Hospitality House contact on a few occasions as she was unsure of our wedding details during the days approaching our wedding and at the last minute, something we felt was a ironically juxtaposed.

As parents of the bride, we hosted the reception at the Hospitality House. The hotel is very 'Old World Virginia', both gracious and comfortable. Regina Wade was a lovely person to work with during the planning stage, and exceptionally pleasant and helpful on the day of the wedding. She made last minute changes smoothly (and with a smile!) to help us work around weather issues and minor schedule changes. The waiters were friendly and seemed to enjoy the event and our guests raved about the food. Some of the reviews we read indicated that the Hospitality House was a little pricey, but we were pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the cost of an afternoon reception was after comparing the costs to other sites in Williamsburg. And their location in central Williamsburg was ideal for us...the bride and groom rode from the church to the reception in a 'colonial' carriage ride. We had our reception as well as a morning after brunch at the Williamsburg Hospitality House. The Hospitality House is in a perfect location to Colonial Williamsburg so it was great for guests to be able to walk around Williamsburg and see the sights. While the Hospitality House is not cheap, it was well worth the money that we paid. The hotel is beautiful and the staff was amazing. Regina Wade, the sales/catering manager was great to work with and stayed on top of things throughout the reception. Everything went extremly smooth during the reception and the one snag we had was a long line at the bar which was quickly remedied.

ok... A little on the pricey side...BUT...absolutely PERFECT. Regina Wade is the head of Sales/catering and she saw us through from beginning to end. EVERY guest thought the ballroom was gorgeous...the food spectacular, the wait staff and bartenders PERFECT. We were treated like royalty all afternoon and evening and there wasn't ONE single problem at any point and time. If you can afford to do it...have your wedding reception HERE. Their hotel rooms are absolutely beautiful and may we recommend the Meridian suite to pamper yourself. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!

They worked very well with our requests, and they also arranged for us to stay the night at the hotel for free in an INCREDIBLE suite! (two rooms, with a kitchen and living room area)

Excellent venue. Very friendly, helpful and even worked with me on off hours.
